no disasters been enjoying your PS Vita previews, no major stinkers yet! just wondered if you're going to post a preview of either Lumines or Unit 13? also, any word on the 3G data charge for the UK yet? AbominableSloth (gamertag) GC: We just got Unit 13 today actually, so we'll try and take a look at that shortly. We did ask about the 3G charges but apparently they haven't been decided yet. Sony were able to say the following though: 'Unlike the US, the Vita won#t be locked to one specific network in the UK, so consumers will have a choice/the ability to shop around... and as it's a normal sim card, there's also nothing stopping you from sharing the one you may have for another compatible device.' Propriety formats so, am I going to get a Vita? I think I'm going to wait until it's established itself a bit, mind you that's what I told myself when the PSP first came out. but I think I've learned my lesson and will just have to engage a bit of will power. a question though about Vita, are the memory cards for the Vita special ones designed just for use on the Vita? I saw one and it doesn't look like anything I've seen before. What's wrong with using the Pro Duo sticks like the PSP use, so pictures and video can be interchangeable? Steven GC: unfortunately they are unique to the PS Vita, which is just one of the reasons people are upset they have to buy them to save games. opposite experiences RE: 'I wonder how many other 3DS owners even bother with the 3D?' I know exactly what you're talking about. my solution has been to place the 3DS on a table with a large piece of rubber sandwiched between the 3DS and table (so the 3DS doesn't move). You can then play in 3D with relative ease. It's far from a perfect solution, but I have found it to be workable. Josiah These stories about people not being about to use the 3DS's 3D or it giving them headaches are so weird. do all these people have eye problems or something? I've never had any kind of headache with it, even after a four hour Mario Kart session, and the sweet spot is so big you have to really throw the 3DS around to lose it. Admittedly I don't wear glasses, is that what does it? John Morris Feel the difference I know it's a little late to mention but I just wanted to say how great the Xbox 360 joypads with the transforming D-pad are, but not necessarily for the obvious reason. I bought one of those Gears of War 3 ones, when it came out, mainly because it was a special edition one. but what I didn't expect was the excellent build quality. The analogue sticks feel much better and smoother, but the D-pad itself is much more accurate and responsive. It's kind of microswitched and is far better as a result. Though I don't really use the other D-pad mode much, it's nice to have it there for when I do. I honestly couldn't go back to standard joypad now. so what I'm trying to say is, you should consider giving one of these new design pads a try, you might be very surprised at the difference. Spartas Edge Another late night I was initially looking forward to having next week off as annual leave, great I thought: my wife in work - check, kids at school - check. Perfect, I can devote my time to playing Skyrim, that is until my other half said those bone-chilling words, 'Oh by the way, my parents are coming down to stay all next week.' Noooooooooo! TheZombieDonkey PS: my in-laws are great, but don't 'get' games. Guess I'll have to wait until everyone has gone to bed. quicker to wait after reading how generous the Kingdoms of Amalur demo was I checked it out on PlayStation 3. after seeing how much of my monthly download allowance it would swallow and figuring out the length of time it would take to download it on the PlayStation 3, I decided not to bother since the game proper would be out before the demo had finished downloading. Gill C. Inbox also-rans RE: scott4y2hott4y. Gotta come up with something harder... 'Big money, big prizes, I love it!' is the much loved twin stick shooter Super Smash T.V. I'd buy that for a dollar! what about: 'Save keys to open doors'? Sven With all this talk of the best games of 2011 being contenders for greatest games ever released - Skyrim? dark Souls? Zelda: Skyward Sword? - I'd like to direct you to this little hidden gem published in 2005. move over Miyamoto, Martin Lewis is in town. Bellysgonnagetya

Just played the Asura's Wrath demo, absolutely ridiculous. I love it! freeway 77 PS: did it remind anyone else of the old Japanese manga film Fist of the North Star?
'If you're assassinated by Sony/Activision ninjas over the next few days we'll definitely know you were right.' I actually LOL'd at that reply. And I don't like 'LOLing'. RamboSi (PSN ID) this week's Hot Topic For this week's discussion we want to know what your least favourite bit is in a game you otherwise really enjoyed. it doesn't have to be a game-ruining problem but what niggles, flaws or unwanted features annoy you in some of your favourite games? Is it a particular level, an ability you can never get the hang of - or a missing feature that seems obvious to you but that the game doesn't have? Is it a problem with checkpointing or saving perhaps? or the difficulty level in general? Maybe a graphical issue or some other technical problem? How much did the issue affect your enjoyment of the game? In general does a game have to be near perfect for you to enjoy it or are you happy to put up with a bunch of poorly implemented features if the core experience is enjoyable?
